Fonda Miller and Alan Garrett have been promoted to vice presidencies at Peoples Bank, according to Mary Fowler, CEO.
“Fonda and Alan have proven themselves as leaders in our loan department. Each has played an important role in the success of our bank, and we are fortunate to have them shaping our future as well. Our Board of Directors is pleased to recognize their hard work and dedication by promoting them to Vice President. Congratulations!” said Fowler.
Miller has been promoted to vice president/Loan Compliance. Miller joined Peoples Bank in July 2011 as a loan assistant. She has a total of 24 years of banking experience, nine with Peoples Bank.
Miller is originally from Mena, where she graduated high school. In 2015 she earned her bachelor’s degree in ag business from Southern Arkansas University.
Miller supports her community by participating in Relay For Life, Magnolia Blossom Festival, SAU Mulegating, Making Magnolia Blossom and Leadership Magnolia Alumni Association.
Fonda is married to Jeff Miller. They are the parents of three children and have one grandchild. In her spare time, Miller enjoys being outdoors, gardening, working in her flower beds, canning food from the garden, cooking and playing with her dogs. A favorite pastime is spending time with family, especially their new grandson, Chase.
Alan Garrett has been promoted to vice president/Loan Operations. Garrett has six years of banking experience. He rejoined Peoples Bank in February 2017 as a loan assistant. He is a Magnolia native and a graduate of Magnolia High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Southern Arkansas University in 2008.
Garrett gives back to the community by participating in Relay For Life, Magnolia Blossom Festival, SAU Mulegate, Emerging Leaders Council for SAU, SAU Alumni Board and the Applied Skills Internship for SAU.
Garrett is married to Shay (Farrar) and the couple has two children, Ellie and Ethan. The family attends New Life Community Church where Alan is an elder and worship leader. Alan enjoys music, fishing, and WWE in his spare time.
